Summary (Billy storyline only): Cat and Billy's relationship becomes strained after they are assigned to be police partners. Cat loves the idea, but Billy believes that their personal relationship will get in the way. He overreacts when Cat is threatened during an arrest so they agree to be partners only in their personal life.
Notable: Tim DeZarn guest starred in role of the abusive husband that Billy and Cat arrest during a domestic disturbance call in the episode, "Where There's Smoke...." Tim later played The Powderman in the "Wagon Train" episodes of The Magnificent Seven (1999).
